Students from 2012 Speak about the Hero’s Journey

Hello Students,
The last time I taught the Hero’s Journey theme was the Spring of 2012. Earlier this week, I wrote an email to the students of that class and asked them to write a few words about to you.  Here are the responses I’ve received so far:
        *   Hero’s Journey? What is that? Many of you must be wondering. Well, at the beginning it seems very complicated. But once you begin to understand this adventure and know each of the stages, all be much easier and you will see the Hero’s              Journey everywhere. So, do not refuse the call, I am sure that you will learn a lot. And do not forget to listen to your mentor’s advice (Oliver), he knows a lot and he will help you tremendously in your journey of learning English as a second language.

         * The hero’s journey can look very difficult at the beginning but the satisfaction of knowledge that you will have at the end, does not have any price. Do not give up because believe it or not, YOU ARE A  HERO.

          * Don’t get discouraged if you do find yourself off track. Sometimes it’s those journeys that are the  most important in determining what you really value and want out of life. I hope this will be helpful.

Thank you ladies! I wish you all the best of luck, even though I know you are not depending on luck for your happiness.
